This Book is Lame

Right now I am currently reading They Thirst by Robert McCammon and it's so boring. I think that it might be even more boring than The Hunchback of Notre-Dame was. I am seriously tempted to just stop reading it and find something better to read from my list of things to read. Do you guys think I should mark They Thirst down as a dud? 
On the sunny side I have already read 50 books this year *does happy dance*.
I don't know if this is actually true, but it was too funny not to quote especially since I am reading his fourth novel right now.

"McCammon now refuses to let his first four novels be republished because while he does not dislike the books, he does not feel that they are up to the standards of his later works. He wrote that he feels he was allowed to learn how to write in public, and therefore has decided to officially retire his earlier works."

Eighth Grade Bites was one of the funniest vampire books I have ever read and I have read quite a few vampire books.
The “snack packs” (blood packs) were a nifty idea *asks self, “why no one thought of this before”*.
It was well written, light, imaginative, and unlike any other vamp book I have ever had the pleasure to read.
If I didn't have a (long) priority list of books I want to get, I would definitely add Eighth Grade Bites to my collection.

Esmerelda is rescued by Phoebus de Chateaupers (Captain of the Royal Archers) and she falls mistakenly in love with his bravery when he is in reality, something of a rogue and a braggart."

Ok, so I actually started The Hunchback of Notre-Dame a couple of (three) years ago, got bored with it and put it down. But boredom finally got the better of me so I decided to pick it up and finish it.

Turns out that it picks up some where around page 275 and becomes pretty interesting, until you get to the end and realize that it ends the same as just about every other classic book.
Not to speak ill of the dead...but Mr. Hugo went a little too far with his descriptions (a whole page to tell you about how the sun catches on Notre-Dame).
My favorite part would have to be (anything with) the crazy old lady that lived in the Tower of Roland who hated the gypsies, except that it was pretty easy to guess who her daughter was going to turn out to be.
If you have the patience to wait for The Hunchback of Notre-Dame to pick up there’s a good chance that you just might like it.

DOII was good, except for the end. I mean come on its not supposed to end that way. But it was fascinating to "watch" as Damien and everyone around him (who didn't die) realize that he isn't human, that he is EVIL.

The saddest part was when his cousin (who's more like a brother) Mark found out that Damien was evil, especially since he really looked up to and respected Damien. The biggest creeps would have to have been Buher and Neff, they weren't even creeptastic.
All in all a good read of good vs. evil or light vs. darkness (I know those are cliché, but who cares).
