Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To participate, simply do the following: Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's teasers are taken from Professor Gargoyle by Charles Gilman and Penelope Goes to Portsmouth by M.C. Beaton and Minder. Enjoy.

Professor Gargoyle by Charles Gilman (my review):
"You have to promise me you'll be absolutely quiet," he told them. "No squirming around. If anyone notices something screwy, I won't be able to protect you." page 69

Penelope Goes to Portsmouth by M.C. Beaton (review up on Friday):
Hannah Pym's thoughts turned to her late employer's brother, Sir George Clarence, Sir George who had shown her such friendship and who had promised to take her to the opera when she returned from Portmouth, Sir George with his fine profile, blue eyes, and silver hair.

  1. Professor Gargoyle sounds interesting. The cover is a little creepy though.

    Nice teaser!

    1. The cover is a little creepy, but the book is very, very good. =)

  2. Great teasers!

Sounds like this Sir George means quite a lot to the character.

    1. Definitely! More than she's willing to admit to. =)

I read, and am working on replying, to all the comments y'all leave. All comments are moderated by me, so, if you don't see it automatically that's why.
