Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To participate, simply do the following: Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teasers are taken from Assassin by Patricia Finney and Battle of the Beasts by Chris Columbus and Ned Vizzini. Enjoy.

Assassin (Lady Grace Mysteries, 1) by Patricia Finney (my review):
He stepped aboard and the snake rowed him away towards London town.
"After the black ship had departed, I shouted, too, and lo! a golden barque with a ruby sail appeared, rowed by a yellow serpent, who said, `What is your desire, O' Prince of Acrobats?` page 137

Battle of the Beasts (House of Secrets, 2) by Chris Columbus and Ned Vizzini (my ):
Now she knew it had been the Wind Witch-the Wind Witch all along, transforming her from the inside out. Cordelia wasn't even sure which parts of her over the last few weeks had been her. page 123-124
