Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To participate, simply do the following: Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's teasers are taken from The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan Trickster's Totem and The Dragon's Egg by H.B. Bolton. Enjoy.

The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus, 1) by Rick Riordan (my review):
“I'm the son of Jupiter, I'm a child of Rome, consul to demigods, praetor of the First Legion. I slew the Trojan sea monster, I toppled the black throne of Kronos, and destroyed Titan Krios with my own hand. And now I'm going to destroy you Porphyrion, and feed you to your own wolves."

Trickster's Totem by H.B. Bolton (my review):
"We cannot charge out of here all at once. It is best if we leave one at a time. Look, the Pains are preoccupied." page 110
